Degrees and Programs

The Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU) offers a range of academic programs through its different faculties.

Faculty of Agriculture (FOA):

At the Bachelor level, students can pursue a degree in Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (B.Sc. Ag.). At the postgraduate level, AFU offers Ph.D. and M.Sc. programs in various specializations, including Agricultural Economics, Agronomy, Conservation Ecology, Entomology, Horticulture, Plant Breeding, and Rural Sociology. Additionally, there are M.Sc. programs in Agricultural Extension, Plant Pathology, and Soil Science.

Faculty of Animal Science, Veterinary Science, and Fisheries (FAVF):

At the Bachelor level, AFU provides programs in Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V. Sc. & A.H.) and Bachelor of Science in Fisheries (B. Sc. Fisheries). Postgraduate options include Ph.D. and M.Sc. programs in Animal Science, with specializations in Animal Nutrition and Fodder Production, Animal Breeding, and Livestock Production and Management. There are also Ph.D. and M.V. Sc. programs in Veterinary Medicine, and M.V. Sc. programs in Microbiology, Pharmacology, and Theriogenology. Additionally, there are Ph.D. and M.Sc. programs in Fisheries with a focus on Aquaculture.

Faculty of Forestry (FOF):

At the Bachelor level, students can pursue a degree in Bachelor of Science in Forestry (B.Sc. Forestry). At the postgraduate level, AFU offers a Master of Science in Forestry (M.Sc. Forestry) program.

These programs encompass a wide range of disciplines within agriculture, veterinary science, fisheries, and forestry, providing students with opportunities for specialization and advanced studies at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
